The city was mostly sleeping as the sun rose. Little did anyone know, that some kind of change had occurred, which would lead to the strange, horrible, events which would occur during the day, and that night.
It certainly didn't occur to Flora Feilding. But it suddenly did. She bolted awake, the nightmare still fresh in her mind. It wasn't entirely suprising, she had had similar experiences before, but it still wasn't very pleasant. Not at all. After turning on the lamp, she grabbed the notebook on the bedside table and wrote it down.
Once she had finished, she looked at the clock radio. It was ten to five. “Great!” she said. “I'll be tired tonight. She knew that she wasn't going to get back to sleep.”
And so as she tossed and turned in an attempt to gain more rest, she wondered what the day would bring.
As the day dawned, more people awoke with nightmares...
